Shenmue IV Trailer Confirmed Not Genuine

After a whirlwind few days of speculation, discussion and debate, YS NET have confirmed that the video claiming to be a leaked trailer for Shenmue IV is indeed not genuine. Posting on X this morning, the developer expresses that the video has “no connection to YS NET. See the full statement below.

Whilst fans may be disappointed, and indeed we are too, we are nevertheless grateful to YS NET for the confirmation.

🇯🇵 "Shenmue" was so atmospheric for its time. I love just walking through the city on a rainy evening.

Neon signs, vending machines and 1980s Showa-era streets. A perfect blend of nostalgia and belonging.
