If you happen to frequent the Metro website for your news, then you might have been pleasantly suprised to see an article about Shenmue last week!
A Metro reader by the name of Mike Wilson shared an incredibly earnest and sincere Reader’s Feature on the website’s gaming section, Game Central. Submissions are open to all, and readers can submit their 500-600 word article via the Metro website.
Mike’s account of playing Shenmue on Dreamcast all the way back in 1999 is something that many Shenmue fans will relate to. The feature perfectly captures that feeling of being a child and having your mind blown by the immersion and freedom of the original Shenmue. For those of us lucky to have experienced Yu Suzuki’s masterpiece back when it launched, the Metro article is a very comforting trip down memory lane.
