Shenmue 1 and 2 on PC now playable in VR!

Today sees the exciting release of Shenmue 1 & 2 VR Mod V1.0 for PC!

Developed by Shenmue 3 VR creator and modder Tensai37, we now have a fully functioning VR mod for the original games we adore. You can walk around the world using your PC-compatible VR headset and take the next step towards immersing yourself in the world of Shenmue.

The mod works across both games on PC and will see further development over time, including the addition of fully functioning motion controls!

Furthermore, this doesn’t require any messy file-dropping. Simply use the Windows installer to install the mod into the game(s), start up using your headset, and it will automatically boot into VR mode!

We’ve tested an earlier version of the mod and have been very impressed with what we’ve seen so far. Matt will be doing a video on it as soon as he can!

With this update, Suka Pass has grown again with new ways to test your knowledge, collect memories, check in with Yokosuka, follow the latest Shenmue news, and enjoy the atmosphere of Shenmue wherever you are. * Suka Pass Quiz You can now find the new Suka Pass Quiz page on the main menu! Test your Shenmue knowledge with different quiz modes. Try a quick Daily Quiz, practise with a set of questions, or take on Trainer Challenges from familiar faces like Fukuhara-san, Yamagishi-san and Master Chen. Questions can include characters, voices, locations, music, moves, VMU animations and more. Some questions may be gentle, while others might make even Ryo stop and think for a moment! As you play, you can earn medals, build your streak, view your results, and even receive Winning Cans as rewards. * Shenmue Goodies The Shenmue Goodies page is now open! Here you can collect and view VMU animations for many characters from Shenmue. Use your Winning Cans to unlock animations, then enjoy them inside a special VMU display. It is like carrying a little piece of the Dreamcast era with you again. You can browse the character grid, search for familiar faces, and slowly build up your collection over time. * Everyone's Space Everyone's Space has been added as a new area of Suka Pass. This screen brings back the feeling of another long-lost Passport section, with a live Yokosuka weather forecast so you can check the sky over Ryo's hometown.
