New Yokosuka – Explore Shenmue Locations, Assets and Characters in your browser!

Originally released as an online asset viewer and downloader, New Yokosuka has seen a huge recent update!

Creator, Brynn Bateman has launched a huge range of new features to this already fantastic idea. As of RIGHT NOW you can explore all the areas of Shenmue 1 in our web browser with no addtional installations needed! Furthermore, this world is fully online, allowing players from across the globe to choose their Shenmue chararcter, username and join in the world stacked with features that were present in the original Shenmue game.

This includes:

  • Fully playable arcade machines including Hang-on and Space Harrier.
  • New Arcade games added
  • Forklift racing
  • Combat (under construction)

How does it handle? Matt tests it out! This mod is more than just a bundle; it fixed the issues with NPC movement in Dobuita, automatically switches to 30fps when needed and fixed frame times. The only things it carried over was the widescreen logic and initial 60fps logic but heavily adapted.
