We may have seen Shenmue get a namecheck from The Muppets last year, but we’re pretty sure nobody expected to witness the leader of a UK political party call SEGA out in 2026!

If you’re wondering what on Earth this is all about, Count Binface is a satirical British political candidate and quite a talking point in UK politics at the moment. We won’t get into that here, but suffice to say this is the first time a political figure has commented on our beloved series!
Posted by us on our YouTube and social media channels, the video comes courtesy of a longtime Shenmue fan who contacted Count Binface via Cameo, and went on to donate the video message to the Dojo and wider Shenmue community.

As always, any mention of Shenmue in the news is a win for the series and community! And whilst we wait for any sign of Shenmue III Enhanced and Shenmue IV, a much-needed laugh courtesy of the Count and the video donor is very much appreciated.
