Dreams of Saturn 2.0 – The End of a Dream is an upgraded release of the Shenmue fan game released by George Kitchen last year.

This is only playable with a controller at this time!

Current Version is 2.3 and corrects a game breaking bug as well as a number of more minor issues – make sure to download this version unless there are any major issues. Saves carry over!

This release includes both Dreams of Saturn 1 and 2.0 as one full game, allowing you to select a starting point depending on if you are playing the entire game fresh or for the first time, or already experienced Dreams of Saturn 1 and wanted to jump straight ahead to the 2nd chapter.

Premise:

This brand-new edition of Dreams of Saturn features an entirely new chapter that takes Ryo to Yokosuka Harbor for another fun-filled Christmas story! Packed with SEGA references and Easter eggs, including the legendary Segata Sanshiro, and follow the tale of Santa Maeno as he embarks on a mission to save Christmas for the residents of Yokosuka!

The game is a standalone client and is NOT a mod for the original Shenmue.

This will most likely be the last update for DOS until next year unless a major bug is found.

Additions:

New mini-game/cutscene involving Wang and a soda machine on day 3 of the harbor (don’t pick the wrong drink).

Minor fixes:

Forklift now resets automatically after falling into water. If forklift reset is still needed, it is 100% fixed.

Dobuita performance improved by 10 FPS or so.

Lot’s of Small fixes to Dobuita environment.

Any achievement issues are fixed such as buying all 14 items at Abe now showing graphics and Flower totals not exceeding 38.

Fixed 15+ locations that can cause a player to get stuck.

Improvements on QTE inputs.

20+ bug fixes throughout the harbor chapter on minor events.

Additions:

Racing and Golf can be played from title screen.

1 new course added in Forklift Racing after game completion.

Title screen allows you to return to the Harbor and take the bus to Dobuita to finish any missing achievements.

Major fixes:

Exit menu has been added to Forklift racing.

Glow around Ryo in Dobuita improved.

Ryo glitchy movements on Dobuita map fixed.

Omochao in the open of OWD, causing continuity errors fixed.

Flashing locations of hidden objects has returned from last year, including the Santas at the harbor.

Pool physics fixed with camera issue.

Pool balls now restoring properly.

Pool cue ball now resets to a better location and stops moving on teleport.

Menu bug when failing Chao Sign fixed.

Minor fixes:

Talking to Mark triggering racing menu after day 2 and camera glitch fixed.

Flickering on Golf holes fixed for some graphics cards.

Jump sound effect added.

30+ holes in environment fixed.

Reseting forklift improved, but not perfect.

40+ minor collider issues.

Current Objective audio from Ryo when loading a save fixed.xes from 2.05 and also corrects the missing cut scene in day 2 of the harbour

Major edit: There’s an issue with Santa-Chons registering from the shops. You needed 22 to enter MJQ to finish pool, and you need to finish pool to get the Saturn. I removed the 22 Santa pool requirement so while this will fix the issue of progression, it currently means you can finish pool and get the Saturn, even if you don’t have all 25.

Graphic Options menu sometimes didn’t work. Fixed.

One of the Chao’s (Chao #4) can be found before quest started, causing you to not be able to progress later.

Guizhang standing in the back of WH8 before cutscene for no reason.

Crane can be operated outside of the work day, which locks the game.

Golf Santa hint not updated from last year.

Liu Didnt let you leave until finding Santa.

Saves carry over as they are not stored in the game folder. They will still work. No need to restart.

Fixes: Issue with the VF Bromide game, where it freezes on exit.

Conversation with Mari after 10 Santa’s repeated cutscene.

Exiting Forklift racing menu without playing failed to switch to player camera.

Selecting the Restart button while playing golf, prevented leaving the shop after playing.

Several objects missing colliders, and could walk through them.

2 conversations that were inaccurate to current objective fixed.

Capsule Machine at Abe’s spawned capsules too low.
