Random Thoughts

I just got blocked by someone who I thought was a nice, decent person who I considered a good acquaintance or friend, now I'm feeling hurt :crying:
 
My girlfriend has this Sunday an episode of Transitory Global Amnesia for a couple of hours, one of the most scary things I have ever live. She is fine now, but those hours were like a nightmare
 
Shit, that sounds terrifying. Glad to hear she's OK now.
 
Well, that was a most bodatious day!

For clarity's sake, the user Black Tiger of Death has been banned from the forums. It started off pretty harmless, a user on the livestreams by the name of Hulkarine started tuning in, and eventually made their way here. Like i said pretty harmless, but things started to get a little weird, with lots of PMs being sent to both myself as well as staff.

During the week, things got even stranger in this topic here, where the said user had a go at Mittens for some banter. No profanity was used, and accusations of cyberbullying were thrown around, as well as calling myself out to do something. I didnt, and PM'd the person telling them to relax, take a break if they have to, but it was general joking that happens on the internet of all places.

The past few days, the user has began firing out DM messages to add everyone to their personal social media accounts, and whilst some did, i did not feel comfortable doing so. The user who did add him began having various images and comments liked, as well as being tagged in Facebook posts, which everyone could see, and due to feeling uncomfortable about this, removed the person.

Today i got a message asking why, and he was very quick to throw the transgender card at me, or many other of his disabilities. Is that the reason he was blocked? I replied saying no it wasnt, and was straight to the point of that it was because people are allowed to feel uncomfortable at your social media actions. I asked the user to stop it.

A few hours later, i got a message from someone claiming to be the persons mother, branding me rude, shallow, cold hearted and utterly disrespectful. Also, that she has printed out various pieces from these forums, to bring to the Humberside Police station (@Mittens2317, you are going to jail son), as well as other excuses as to why her "son" was doing this. I replied, and said, i very much welcome contact from the police, and will be more than help them with any enquiries that they will no doubt get involved with.

I've found Black Tiger to be fairly decent relative to some others. Not my call, but sounds like a misunderstanding.

I can understand why you’d think that. I don’t really want to bog things down with nitty gritty details (as you can probably gather from Peter’s post, there’s been a lot going on behind the scenes spanning these past few days), but what I will say is that this wasn’t a heat of the moment decision. We were prepared to tolerate to an extent, but the user in question’s family then went on to berate and threaten police action against certain members of staff for what boils down to not wanting to be their friend on Facebook. The line has to be drawn somewhere.
 
I hate try not to compare general life things to video games as much as I can help it. But everyone else has that one place in town or even a couple of towns over that's basically like the edge of a map, right? Like, I have no idea what is beyond that supermarket. But it might as well be nothing because it would feel wrong to go beyond that stage.

Nobody in Manchester knows what lies beyond Heaton Park, as North Manchester is so bland it may as well not exist.

It literally seems to me that people are purposely just joining the bandwagon for all of these gender/orientation/equality things, simply so they can have an out or an excuse as to when things go wrong in their shitty lives; I mean, if you are struggling with identity and how you feel about your look, intelligence, whatever, CHANGE IT. Or, at the very least, take steps to change your sitch and to get a better understanding of how you fit in the world, then progress.

But people are lazy and they grasp for these crutches, instead of taking accountability and responsibility, hence why someone's own mother has to berate people on the internet, because they don't, "want to be friends," with their child.

Pathetic how the world has become...

The drama I read on this site is worth a videogame plot. Police now? Can't wait to see what comes next. If Shenmue 3 isn't really finished by next year, I wouldn't be surprised if a fan here started WWIII.
 
The City of Chicago would prefer you instead shoot each other in the streets.
