Random Thoughts

Idea: if a newspaper (print or online) publishes information they haven't checked properly, and that information turns out to be false, they have to write "WE WERE WRONG" in big letters on the front page along with a complete list of everything they've gotten wrong.

If they publish information they know to be false, or write a deliberately misleading headline, they instead have to write "WE ARE LIARS" on the front page instead.

Of course, that'd never be allowed by anyone who has the power to make it happen.

Don't worry - there's more than enough people who will do all that for them. The news websites won't even get the satisfaction of a click.

This morning was definitely one of those mornings where you wake up and think about how long of a week it's going to be, trying to figure out where the hell you're gonna get the time to have a bit of a rest before finally just accepting your fate and getting out of bed.

Same.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is very different to the real movies. But story-line is not bad.

Is it worth the 8.7/10 that people have been overrating it on imdb?

It is absolutely NOT one of the greatest films of all time, but now when one looks at imdb, they'll see some mediocre, animated Spiderman film, ranking higher than Kurosawa films and Terminator 2.

Ridiculous.

One of the best films I've seen in the past year. Mainly because of the graphics but they also got the pacing right.

I'll give you that.

But it is NOT an all-time great film, amongst the tens of thousands of films that have ever been made.

talking about movies, this is the new terminator trailer

hopefully the story will be good but its not going to match T2.

I never heard about Nancy Drew Books and TV-Series. It must be very famous in america. Sophia Lillis from "It" plays Nancy Drew in a movie.

Super popular books here, in NA; my sister read all of them as a tween (the old hardcover, yellow ones) and she loved them (though she wouldn't think twice to read one now lol).

Coincidentally, she also read "It," about 7 times as a tween/teen and to this day, it is her favourite book (she is going to be 35 this year).

The new Rammstein album is a lot of fun. Like, I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I do, but God damn they are having a go! I don't even speak German, so there's that.

I knew I was forgetting to post something recently :sneaky:
I was nervous, given the decade hiatus. They were one of those bands I cut my teeth on in high school, so I probably worry about their output in an irrationally nostalgia manner. Alas, I think they made the right move: a crisp, synth-laden album that harkens to their earlier, energetic days. Any stand out tracks for you?

They definitely made the right choice. Uhm... Zeig Dich has good energy, the intro to Radio kicks ass, Ausländer makes me want to dance. Need to listen more.
