Not Fmv but Im revisiting Day of Tentacle and its pixelart intro with hose animation its really something.
That one broke the ground indeed. It was so different, half music clip half shortfilm. The eerie language it poured was in a higher level than ever before.
How fun was getting all endings in Tekken 3. And there was really good ones.. Mokujin's my favourite.I thought of this subject while playing Dreamcast when you dont press start right away the intro video plays. Games that come to mind: Onimusha 3, DOA 2, Mortal Komat Deadly Alliance and Crazy Taxi just to name a few.
As much as that song gives me the heeby-jeebies, my god is it nostalgic. Takes me right back to 1999. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater's credits song, "Way to Fall," has the same effect. Amazing how that works.
I finally started Lunar: Silver Story after seeing the extremely high praise Truck101 gave this and the sequel about a month or two ago. I'm pretty impressed so far: interesting and unique battle system, good music, balanced map design and difficulty, cute anime girls (the most important part), and lots of QoL touches here and there that really surprised me. Seriously, the QoL stuff here seems about 20 years ahead of its time. Also, I had to laugh at how fucking evil Ghaleon looks my first time meeting him. Does this count as a spoiler? I don't actually KNOW that he's evil yet, he just... looks really fucking evil.
I played through it without a translation (but with a Walkthrough) and it is one of the most-fun games I have ever played in my life.As someone who doesn't like turn based rpgs there is one game that has me intrigued Segagaga. Sega should translate and re-release this game the concept is very dope.
