I'm sure all the social media outlets are all set for it. Plus I imagine Adam will have something ready for the 3rd as well.

It would be a push for backers rather than people to increase. I'm always wary of things like that. If people wish to increase then of course do. But some cannot afford to and we want people working within their means and not feeling under pressure. I appreciate the idea though.

If I had to guess we might see a mini surge tomorrow.

If this doc can get some twitter love tomorrow and it results in more people discovering it then I would be thrilled!

I have a friendly side bet going with the other guys on the crew. The He-man documentary had about 1000 backers on Kickstarter. They still think the He-man fan base is larger so Im hoping to prove them wrong :)

I'm sad to say I didn't realize it was the antique shop scene until the 3rd time I watched it. (But at least before you pointed it out) The clock chime is what made me realize, and I must have not been paying attention to the sound or something the first two times. I recognized the scrolls and the sword hand guard, but just thought it was supposed to be evoking memories of Ryo sneaking into Old Warehouse #8 and looking at the stuff.
 
What we made it?! The conversions confuse me a little bit but if we're only $5k away from getting that Shenmue 3 Feature I'm getting giddy :)

I backed this immediately when I heard about it; just hope they get it done!

For $40,000 could you guys include some bonus footage in Special Features where you strap some YSNET/SEGA employees to a chair in a dark basement and threaten them to develop Shenmue 4 straight after Shenmue 3?
 
Wow! Already hit the middle mark with only <$5k to go for the Shenmue III featurette inclusion?

Easily hittable with 17 days to go, especially considering the last few days of a Kickstarter bring an uptick to funds donated. Looks like a full project in the works; fantastic effort by this community to get it going.

I'll be donating on my next pay day coming up soon.

Yeah, it would be awesome if we could get more than a thousand backers on this, but don't worry about it too much. I think the most important thing is for you to get enough money to make a good film and also to include a bit on the making of S3 in your film and I think we're on the right track to get at least the 35000 Canadian $.

I'm backer number 500 and something by the way. Have been following your film pretty much since S3 was announced and I'm so thrilled about it, especially about what Yu and Corey have to say about Shenmue and I really hope you'll get Ryuji Iuchi and Masaya Matsukaze on board too.

I did the "What could be on these tapes" tier. Wanted to do more but with the S 1 & 2 remasters coming out this month, I'm a bit short on cash at the moment. I'll have to buy around 15 copies for collection reasons (different platforms and regional versions and so on). Also I've already preordered and paid the regular Japanese version and the Limited Edition which will come out in November.

Anyway, I hope my pledge still helps a little bit. Keep up the hard work! I have a feeling your film is gonna be awsome. (y)
 
Why do people keep saying they are waiting for payday to pledge? Kickstarter does not take any money until the end of the backing period. So if your payday is before then feel free to go ahead and pledge, you won’t lose anything by doing so now.
