Something I personally am quite into.

Come here to talk about wrestling, whether its NJPW, WWE, TNA, ROH or anything else!

I am going to Hell in a Cell PPV in September, so excited.

G1 has been good so far. I went to a NJPW show in the UK and it was awesome. Such a different way of working to WWE much stiffer I'd suggest (from an untrained eye).

I was at Smackdown when AJ Styles won the WWE title which was amazing

Were those both Manchester shows then? Then you got to see WALTER hehe.. up until Okada v Omega IV I was secretly hoping he'd be the one to end Okada's reign, coming in in a 1987 Vader-like push. Far-fetched but it was the dream (and then even Vader died.. geez)

I've been enjoying G1, match quality has been good to great. With no great surprises in the entrants (meaning: lots of matches we've seen before, even as singles), Gedo's been putting a lot of emphasis on storylines, which is good, as a means to keep spirits up and things interesting (we're only halfway). The use of non-fixed cameras this year has made all shows look premium as well.
That being said, nevermind who's winning it this year, I'm having a hard time imagining what Wrestle Kingdom's going to be like. Seems like they could run with a load of spotlight matches then, and a lot of it's going to be determined in the last 2 G1 days..

Yeah for Smackdown I was. I was there for RAW the year before when Undertaker and Kane ruined the Wyatts.

The NJPW show I went to was in MK. Main event was Okada and ishi v Suzuki and Sabre Junior. Also got to see Will Osprey and met Switchblade which was cool.

Lucha Underground is a great show. Highly recommend it to any wrestling fans here.

There's 3 things I have to say:
1. Naito v Omega III on the second day was great but Ishii v Ibushi was absolutely fantastic and my favourite match from each of them in years (which is saying a lot). Loved it.
2. Absolutely shocked at the news that Brian Christopher has died, having hanged himself in prison. Nikolai Volkoff died yesterday as well. Terrible.
3. That's it.

Nice! Any of your matches online?

Not many. Most of my career took place when there wasn't a camera in everyone's pocket, and the promoters wanted you to pay for a video of the whole show, instead of just your match. There's some on my YouTube (joeyimage) but not much. I wasn't the greatest, but DAMN I had fun! Stopped in 2015 due to injuries.

Do you remember any particularly hard bumps you took?

Fair enough haha. No trick question intended, just fishing for stories ;)

I did a 50-episode podcast last year, full of stories. Included in that is a 3-episode series I did exclusively of road stories (I think they’re episodes 8-10 maybe?). If you listen to podcasts, search for “That Image Guy”.

Here’s an iTunes link: That Image Guy podcast

As for any other questions, ask away. I’m an open book.

As did Brickhouse Brown, and the father of TNA/Impact wrestler Trevor Lee. All in the same day.

Huge wrestling fan, still try and stay up to date with WWE.

I'll be going to ALL IN this September right outside Chicago. Really looking forward to it.
:) That's awesome. It looks like a great show. How's your seats?
