If you had luck enough to find another kid with a Game Gear, same cartridge as you (Columns mostly) and there was a link cable around (rare item here back then) you had access to multiplayer.

Yeah, it was rare enough that as a kid, I only ever knew one other person that had a Game Gear and we never had the same games.

Same for me, only one other person in the whole lifespan, if that term applies in Europe. We both had Columns, of course.

Recently bought Sonic frontiers on Steam. I'm really enjoying the game its big and has alot of exploration to it. IMO I get alot of Zelda BOTW vibes from it. This is a step in the right direction. Sonic games still have this quirky buggy can't always control Sonic moments but I chalk it up to the speed movements. Really good game
