I wasn't sure I was going to like it because it looked a little too much like Yakuza to me before I tried it, but after playing it and seeing how decent the story was and that it felt more like a GTA title, I was surprised at how solid it was. Too bad there won't ever be a sequel though.
 
Picked up some new Saturn games, Thunderhawk 2, Virtua Cop and Xmas Nights (JP)

Just after Duke, Quake, Sonic Jam and 3D (Pal) and the Panzer games (JP) and I'm finished with the Saturn. Other desirable games are too expensive now and I only collect games in good shape which makes it harder.

@otbr87 I cannot feel the Yakuza vibes in that game. It reminds me of the True crime series (which ist not surprising, the game was orginally meant to be another True Crime game ) and Scarface which is not a bad thing. I liked the 2 games a lot.

@Down by Law these games are nice addon to your Saturn collection.

Been a while since I got new Saturn games but now I got active was well. I got X-men vs Street Fighter last week. Should arrive soon. As fan of the predecessor X-men Children of the Atom I am really looking forward to it.

I am also thinking of getting repro of the Saturn version of Duke Nukem 3d

That's my point exactly, there's nothing to compare with Sleeping Dogs and Yakuza after playing them both, but my first impression watching the trailer is that it was going to be as bad as Yakuza, so I passed it up but gave it another look after seeing it on sale and digging a little deeper. I didn't care for True Crime or Scarface, but I also didn't think they were as bad as many people suggested.
 
Personally I would consider the True crime games and Scarface as pretty good games if you like story focused games. It is not gta for sure. Just a open worldish story game. But if like the setting these games are quite enjoyable
 
Yes exhumed is the reason why i am intersted in the saturn duke. Exehumed is one of my favourite Saturn games and I want to see how the version of Duke from the Exhumed makers turn out.
 
All I’ve got lately is Senran Kagura Peach Ball due to it being half off…got it way back when it first released in Japan but didn’t play much. There’s really nothing I plan on getting from now until Elden Ring or Kirby tbh, but I guess it’s just as well because my backlog has piled up fast and I plan on spending more of my free time on other things next year in general.

EDIT: kinda forgot the Senran X Neptunia crossover is coming to Switch uncensored so at least there’s that to look forward to.

I got a couple of SEG game this Xmas! Been very interested to try Sonic Colours - I got the Xbox version for my Xbox One X as I hear this version is in 4k unlike the PS4 version even on PS5!

I also got Lost Judgment on PS5! I've yet to play Yakuza 7 eitehr so I am not sure which of the 2 to play first...

I also got some cheapy Xbox One games lately too:

Just a few purchases I bought go them from a deal on GameStop! Especially dark souls games these were a steal remember how expensive it was to find them on Amazon 1-2 years ago. But now I can find them at GameStop part of holiday deals and such. :)

I have dark souls trilogy sealed btw decided not to open and get these games. The other games decided to pick up also plan on playing them when I get a PS5 (upgradable ones). Gris on the other hand had to be returned because fed ex destroyed the first game now I got it in one piece. Sakuna I always wanted to play so there. All my purchases for the year and no digital.

Doesn't matter which you play first, though there is a *tiny* bit of story overlap, so 7 should be played before LJ if that matters to you.

I truly feel they are the 2 best games in the series thus far as objectively, they have improved leaps and bounds from the previous titles.

Really pleased to get a Final Fantasy Ultimania book released outside Japan! this 300+ hardback beauty has tons of wonderful artworks inside! From CGI, drawn characters, enemies, enviornments storyboards and much more! It's a perfect making of book to gain more insight into the making of the FFVII Remake Part 1 Game.

I hope this release done swell and S-E are encouraged to release some of their previous Ultimania guides - as they have much in-game lore yet it has never been officially translated - One can hope anyways, but this wil certainly do for now! :)

I ordered some Saturn games yesterday

Manx TT japanese version

Duke Nukem 3d Saturn (pal) not cheap but has been a few years since I paid a lot for retro games so it is ok

Virtual One the japanese version.

All 3 are great, quality titles. Manx TT Superbike is a ton of fun and a true Arcade Racer and VO is a lot of fun, but not Oratorio Tangram.

Duke3D is arguably the best console version of the game and it isn't cheap at all lol, but more-than worth it.
 
Yeah have already heard many good things about the Saturn Duke. It is fromt he same devs that made exhumed for the Saturn which is a great fps on the good old Saturn as well.

Can't yet it is the best but I am gonna find out soon. My first contact with Duke 3d was the N64 version which I liked. I have never played the PC version of Duke 3d until recently when it was re released on steam. It was fun as well. Cannot wait to experience the game a third time on the Saturn.

ps: Cool thing that you mentioned Oratorio Tangram. That game was completly unkown to me. Did know that there is a cyper troopers game available on the Dreamcast as well. it looks cool. I think I gonna get it at one point in the future as well.

@All another purchase today was the pal ps1 version of spider-man from Neversoft. The ps1 was not my prefered version I wanted to get the Dreamcast version but the Dreamcast version costs a small fortune today so i went for the ps1 version.

I have heard about the game back then but never got to play it. I want to correct that mistake know and play and finish it 22 years later.

I said I was going to skip Diamond pearl remakes but tbh never played this generation so there you go. Hope the other two games tide me over and will get to them when I can.
