Preordered Elden Ring for PS4. Tbh there’s a lot about it that just screams “this is Dark Souls 4” that I don’t like so much, but no other devs seem to really understand the design philosophy behind what generally makes these good. Just kinda sad when they make a straight action game like Sekiro and babies whine that it’s not an RPG…I don’t think Fromsoft will ever have the creative freedom they once had to do stuff like Ninjablade or Metal Wolf Chaos ever again.

Travellers Rest

Stardew Valley made a lot fun for me and this game looks similar.

Dino Crisis is awesome, ton of fun.

(paraphrasing)

Regina: "There's a dinosaur here!"
Other guy on team: "Ooowee! Now that's an excuse you don't hear often. So who was it, Barney?"

Yes Dino Crisis a great game. One of my favourite ps1 games. i got the ps1 version at christmas 1999 when it come out. I just purchased to DC version to enhance my collection. I am playing it know as well on the DC but the differences are not really strinking when comparing the DC version to the Ps1 version. The DC version has not even a 480p mode. VGA is not working. From all the capcom ps1 ports DC is the worst I have to say. the best is RE 2 and Re 3 is still ok. But besides the flaws I like DC on the DC (pun totally intended. :ROFLMAO:) as much as i do the ps1 version.

My first pick up of 2022 is the PS5 upgrade of Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy. Going to be doing the $10 upgrade path.

Far Cry Primal Digital Apex Edition on UbiSoft Connect

The download was so slow, i needed a whole day for downloading the game. -.- Today i want to play it.

I got a pal Copy of the PS1 Game Danger Girl. It is a decent third person action game similar to Syphon Filter. It is fun but no masterpiece at all.

I also got 2 more Mega Drive Games

Quackshot and Super Hang On. Have not played these games yet but I am quite sure I am going to like them. Have heard many good things about Quackshot and Hang On was my favourite game in the Arcarde in Shenmue. So I am really curious how the Mega drive version is going to be.

SHO is one of my favourite racing games ever, if not my outright-favourite, after TXR2.

It's the VERY first arcade game I played (yes, the bike cab and all; my uncle needed to assist me with turning, as a 3 year old isn't strong-enough to move the bike lol) and my uncle had it for the Genesis, so it is also one of the first console games I've ever played as well.

I will say right off the bat, while it looks really good and faithful, it plays MUCH slower at first than the arcade version (also probably less FPS as well) and the Original Mode (which is AWESOME) plays REALLY-SLOWLY and clunky at first, but that's because your bike needs to be upgraded (and it's *far* from impossible, just need to stick with it) and then it becomes a ton of fun.

It's a much more-expansive game than the arcade version, but doesn't look as good, plays just as well. And you now have a turbo ;)

So instead of working on my game project I made an impulse buy and got myself Blue Reflection: Second Light on Switch to have something more or less valentines “themed” to play. I don’t even know whether it’s recommended I should play the first one, or whether it’s on the Switch, but so far I don’t feel too confused about an hour in. Not quite as lewd as I thought it was going to be(yet?) but that’s ok, found another one called Seven Pirates H or something that has an Asia version coming out later this spring so I decided to just preorder that. This game is giving me some Disaster Report 4 vibes with the somber tone and some of the music and monologue which is a good thing. Also can’t go wrong with turn based. That and the situation being a little bit dire reminds me of School Live so that’s sort of good too.

Yeps! I finally got around ordering the Japense version of Shenmue with the Jukebox CD! I also got the Virtua Fighter 3tb release with the Project Berkley disc.

This release is very interesting! As a Final Fantasy Kupo-Nut I knew I had to have this. It's a 2-Disc re-release of the game with and additional disc that you can install the DLC onto PS3 consoles!

I'm sure it will only be compatible with the Japanese release with the set but still I'm pleased to have the DLC safe on disc fror the future.

Have any Platinum fans here tried Sol Cresta yet?

I had no idea the MD version had an Original mode! 👀 Gonna have to check it out now.

Yeah I got it. I'm enjoying it a lot, although it's definitely a bit obtuse and hard to get to grips with. Once it clicks it's great though.

Skip the story DLC though, it's just a bunch of dialogue during gameplay, and it's in Japanese so you have to look at the subtitles at the top of the screen to see what they're saying. And taking your eyes off the action in a shmup is a bad idea!
