Miles Gaye: a story of human achievement.
When Miles Gaye entered the Chrysler Building, never in a million years would he have guessed what would happen to him that day.
He walked through the basement oblivious to the presence of other people wandering around in that part of the building.
He approached the elevator - that's for sure - with haste.
He worked on the 6th floor, in a consulting firm called "
Lane Assesors" that advised "
Love Unlimited Insurance".
Miles was an advisor.
He remembered going up to the office, Dr. Munchen's recommendation:
"
Miles, you should walk more! Or at least walk up the stairs every day to your consulting job!"
Miles was, by the way, very good at giving advice.
As he stepped out of the elevator, oblivious, he encountered a devilish brawl between his colleagues at "
Lane Assesor" and the employees of "
Keynes Subject" - a rival consultancy.
Without a second thought, he pressed the elevator button with two arrows facing each other and went down to the basement.
He waited there a few minutes - very nice minutes - and told himself that he would never take the elevator again.
Just in case.
