I'm curious; did Takeuch voice himself as well, in 'mue I? I ca't seem to find the Japanese voice actor (everything at work here is blocked :mad:)

Interesting thought, but not as far as I know! I think they used professional voice actors for all characters.

"Kiss Off Twit!"- Insults in Shenmue | Translation Analysis

A smile will have sprung to the lips of many a player after seeing a tattooed biker grimace menacingly at Ryo before snarling: "Kiss off twit!" in the original Shenmue game.

There is at times an apparent disjoint between the character's appearance and their choice of language. Is this something that was present even in the Japanese version of the lines?

Bailu Village Secrets Part 1: Ema at Man Yuan Temple | Guest Post by Dave Matthews

A couple of weeks ago I was posting in the Random Shenmue III Thoughts thread about some stuff I'm learning in my second playthrough that I either completely missed or didn't take the time to fully explore in my first.
