Thank you very much, I just find Shenmue so fun and the idea that there is so much left to discover in this world excites me.

I think I haven't introduced myself on the old dojo.
So, let's do this now, to start afresh.

I have known about Shenmue since it was out.
I liked the concept of the games and the innovation and immersion they offer.
And, I had the opportunity to play the first two something like 10 years ago.

Never thought we could actually get the 3rd game.
(But, we did, so congratulations and good luck to all, fans and people of the game industry.)

In the end, I'm just an anonymous Shenmue fan from France.
I feel like a piece of stardust among this community, yet it is cosy being around.

Again, Thanks all for the hard work and dedication.
I hope this place lives long and prosper.

Agreed, it's encouraging and refreshing to see that the series is still attracting new fans even before the re-release is out.

In the same breath I'm not especially fond of "long time lurker but I've been here since the beginning" posts though. :grimacing:
 
Hello!

I've been playing Shenmue 1&2 for Dreamcast religiously ever since my first experience (can't remember when but must've been 10+ years ago) and I consider them to be THE GREATEST GAMES EVER MADE. Yep, the Shenmue series is unrivalled in it's incredible open-world, atmosphere, story and soundtrack. I'll forever cherish these games because of the brilliant memories they gave to me.

Ever since Shenmue 3 and now the Shenmue 1&2 re-releases it's made my brain switch with incredible energy, it's like having a loved one come back to life, nobody expected this epic turn around of events that led to it's revival. I also cannot describe how passionate and persistent the Shenmue community is... for 15 years there was nothing but hardships to overcome and now with the series complete revival we've all truly proved we're the strongest warriors that cannot be messed with!

I've bought a PS4 slim this year exclusively for the Shenmue trilogy. I cannot contain my hype for the re-releases next month and Shenmue 3 which looks outstanding to the highest degree. I hope that with all the newcomers this community grows to all new heights.

What up? Its Rakim. Been on the Dojo since '04 but I don't see why we can't use the opportunity of the site revamp to get reacquainted. I don't game anymore but I still like this place so you won't be getting rid of me anytime soon. I like music, Japan, Disney, crypto, anything cute, TV and stupid stuff like that. yoroshiku onegaishimasu
