I prefer the white version !
Never knew about this so thanks for sharing, its a wonder why they chose foreign brands over Japanese for tie in's considering how many big watch makers there are, Casio, Seiko, citizen

Same with coca cola rather than Sapporo, kirin, suntory for the vending machine

Must have been a Yu Suzuki preference I guess

Yes, it would be interesting to know if any domestic brands were approached at all for making the decision.
The white version definitely has a lot more detail. Great find!
It would have made a nice Tomato convenience store prize!
 
Interesting article as usual!

While the details in Shenmue never fail to amaze, I think it also speaks to how prolonged and in some cases inefficient Shenmue’s development was. They were clearly throwing a mountain of ideas and concepts at the project, in many cases breaking new ground. Yet the amount of assets they created that were never used is quite mind boggling.
