Random Shenmue Thoughts

I was considering recording my playthrough but instead im going to take a screenshot of something each time i play it and put it up here. Dont have a vpn and not much of an incentive right now so dont need to on youtube so thought might just share it with you guys. Not aiming for platinum trophies or save scumming collectibles but i want to unlock the duck races as i never achieved that.

Do it, i also took and take a ton of screenshots during my time playing shenmue. The duck races are fun,be prepared for some tough fights with eileen and izumi!

Not looking forward to Izumi, will be a long process as i work quite alot but a bit at a time, my screenshots will show you when i played too.

Since i already defeated izumi a few times,here is some quick pointers:

-Dont get too fancy with her, what worked best for me was the 3 kick combination. And this is from someone that loves the more complicated moves from the game but with her simple is best
-She isnt great at guarding against punches since she will get on the defensive and will usually just eat up the last punches of any combination you throw at her,so spamming those can be good.
-As you finish the combination many times she will go for her killer grab so id recommend gaining a little bit of distance then going in again.
-when she misses a few blows go to her side and go for a heavy kick like a windwill kick to tank some extra damage
-Keep up the high pace since she can take a fair ammount of damage and recovers quickly/gains distance on you also quickly
-DO Learn the counter to her killer move,get good at it,since that move steals half of your health and she goes for it a lot
-Save up some money before going in since retrys are expensive

Also eileen is good practice beforehand,but i would say a few extra spars with jasmin before leading up to the fight with her is also a good idea.
 
I guess I’m going to be like you guys a kid waiting for Shenmue IV just like you guys waited for Shenmue 3. It will never happenツ
