I've been following this game for a while but it was only recently I realized that it shares a lot of commonalities with Shenmue and thought you guys might be interested in talking about it.
It's an upcoming Switch and PC game called On Your Tail by Memorable Games and published by Humble Games.
You play Diana, a detective who has to solve mysteries in a seaside Italian town. It mixes detective-style gameplay with some life-sim elements and minigames.
The devs have specifically listed Shenmue as one of it's major influences, which is pretty apparent given it's premise and other visual nods and gameplay features.
It doesn't have any combat like Shenmue, but it features plenty of mystery, lively NPCs and lots of minigames!
