What if Shenmue II came out on DC in North America

As of now, I can’t find the info but I remember back on many Dreamcast forums and the first edition of these forums back in 2001, many of us based on North America Pre-ordered Shenmue II for the Dreamcast, then it was cancelled for the XBox just days before its release.

But let’s take a moment and discuss if it was released on the Dreamcast as intended. While the Dreamcast was dead at that point, Shenmue II would probably still be a modest hit for the console and enough to make a sequel sooner than 2019 lol for XBox or PS2. I think cancelling the game for DC in North America derailed the hype train a lot

It would've been great for the American crowd to get it on the DC but it wouldn't really have changed much for the possibilitie of the series.
If anything, with the game never hitting the Xbox it would've made the first few years of Shenmue III wait and speculations even more clouded and unsure. Remember, we all thought III would have a home on the Xbox and then the 360.
