It was nice to see YSNet have some funny easter egg moments in Shenmue 3. In Shenmue 2 we learned about the Chawan Sign and how arranging cups in a certain order can communicate things to people. We were also warned not to do random combos as this could lead to bad things happening. Moving forward I'd like to see YSNet do some comedic relief and Easter egg moments using Chawan sign. Here are some ideas I have. Anyone else have some crazy ideas or sidequests.
1. You don't arrange the cups be this triggers a cut scene. Someone taps Ryo he turns around misses the guy then turns back and there's a note that reads," You have to arrange the cups in a certain order we explained this to you in Shenmue 2." Ryo replies," Oh yeah."
2. Ryo arranges the cups a car honks it's horn frantically Ryo goes outside and sees BD Joe from Crazy Taxi. Ryo refuses the ride saying,"No way."
3. Ryo arranges the cups someone leaves a note telling Ryo to show up to a warehouse. Ryo arrives and is ambushed and has to fight a gang with 50 members. Ryo wins a right before dealing the finishing blow the henchman tells Ryo he will give him his most prized possession if he let's him go. Ryo agrees and is lead into a room and inside is Daytona USA arcade machine. Daytona USA is now unlocked and playable in the game.
4. Ryo arranges the cups someone leaves a pamphlet on the table. Ryo picks it up and it reads," Shenmue Dragon and Phoenix collection." Ryo replies,"This is cool."
5. Ryo arranges the cups someone leaves a note telling Ryo to meet at a warehouse. Ryo arrives and is greeted by a shady looking individual. This person tells Ryo they have something that can help him on his quest but they require a donation. Ryo agrees and is given the Choubu Chan map showing locations were Choubu Chan is hiding.
6. Ryo arranges the cups someone leaves a note saying,"Stop playing around with Chawan sign." Ryo arranges the same way again another note is left saying,"Seriously don't do that again you've been warned." Ryo arranges the cups the same again a cut scene is triggered. Ryo turns around when he turns back around the cups are no longer on the table. Ryo says,"Oh man someone took the cups."
