Shenmue 1 and 2 forklift + audio Restoration compatible with Steam deck?

Hey there I was recently lucky enough to get a steam deck and obviously wanted to boot up shenmue asap! I forgot about the low sample rate of the voices so decided to try and install forklift (latest) and the audio restoration. I followed the tutorial but I don't think it's working..

Is it because it's running through Linux/steam os?

Also tried pressing f12 to launch the forklift gui but the only thing to happen was steam took a screenshot.

EDIT: I think I got forklift activated with WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xinput1_3=n,b" %command%

But it now won't recognize the steam decks controller!

You can work around it by renaming the xinput1_3.dll to msacm32.dll, and doing the same with the launch option (WINEDLLOVERRIDES="msacm32=n,b" %command%)

Also, if you haven't already, you have to change the controller layout of the game to "Gamepad with Joystick Trackpad". But this is unrelated to Forklift.
