Mitts, you have used email to it's appropriate extent. Now it's time to get livid on the phone about it. Call them up and give them a good shake. Refer to yourself in the 3rd person and full name. Explain this is something you wont give up about. Continue to call again periodically when you feel rambunctious. Let them remember you in that office so everyone talks about you around the break room.
This is your time to shine. Go get that Frappe. Or rather, go get them get that Frappe for you.
 
maybe I'm paranoid but there is a person on ebay who keeps buying my paintings (they are cheap) but when i list random junk, they also bid/buy that too.. really freaks me out.:censored:

This is a really dumb random thought, but good god, I just saw this 15 second trailer for the Japanese bluray release of Zeiram 1 and 2:
...and the only thing I want in the entire world at this very moment is to get that same bluray release in the US.
The US DVDs of both movies have absolute shit picture quality, so I've never seen anything from them looking this clear and high-quality. I messed my pants seeing this.
 
@Mr. OL I have both US dvds. I watched the first movie so long ago and I always had a crush on that female lead. I only acquired the second movie DVD last year out of sheer luck by browsing a section of a closing down DVD shop. The monster design and Iria's gadgets still stand out for me to this day, even though I've watched tons of sci-fi stuff over the years. And that theme music...

Anyway, good to know there is a Bluray version.
 
Seeing Iron Maiden last night left me with a lot of residual energy and adrenaline which made trying to sleep a bit of a nightmare…it was scattered at best.

I'm just wandering around like a tired zombie today. Need a cup of tea and a quiet room to watch football in peace, I think.

Still had a great time though.

So I saw this video earlier where some emaciated looking drug addict guy was caught breaking into the house of a professional fighter, the video was kind of an appeal for information as the burglar got away. I was reading the comments section and within a couple of hours someone has posted a link to the burglar's Facebook page.

Being incredibly nosey I had a look through their profile and it's definitely the burglar from the video, he looks much healthier in the pictures but he's covered in the same distinctive tattoos.

Anyway I'm scrolling down a bit and there's a picture of him holding a young boy, who I'm assuming is his son, the boy is maybe 3 years old, wearing old school Teenage Mutant Ninja clothes and the man has a t-shirt to match.

I was immediately overwhelmed by a terrible feeling of sadness about it all which an hour later I still can't articulate properly. I'm not naive, I was brought up in low income housing, I understand that drug addictions destroy families and ruin countless lives every day but something about being unexpectedly confronted with this ordinary tragedy really got to me. I also suspect having a young son myself plays a significant part in this.

The bottom line is it's my own fault for prying but it's touched on a concern I have about how I choose to live my life, I'm always turning away from the bad things going on in the world and focusing in on the good but in doing so I'm not really dealing with my thoughts about the things that I believe are wrong.
 
My hangovers are getting longer, I've only just got over the LG gig on Saturday :persevere:
 
I've been so busy recently, have barely been at home and haven't had a decent sleep for awhile. No plans this weekend though! So needless to say I am really looking forward to the weekend; just so I can have the laziest weekend of all time.

Yeah, it's good going out and catching with people and all, but nothing beats a lazy weekend at home filled with sleep, plenty of junk food/drinks and basically doing whatever the heck ya feel like...

Almost a month later, bt this post reminds me when I made Haggis 2 weeks ago.

So. Damn. Good.

But not nearly as good as the freshest, best-tasting Haggis I ever had, in Scotland, in 2008, for a Scottish Full Breakfast (literally the best breakfast I've eaten in my life and nothing will ever compare).

As you get older, days like these are needed; I had my first weekend like that in a good 6 months, last weekend and it was glorious! (wedding planning takes up a bunch of your life :()

I remember back in 2007 when my brother was in the hospital in Manhattan for a week that back then all the fast food places delivered and I was amazed that was even an option there. McDonalds, Subway, you name it. Now it's everywhere with Door Dash(not rural areas). I don't know what you have over there in England.

We have UberEats and Deliveroo. There's also Just Eat for takeaways and a shitloada independent ones that do McDonalds, KFC, and Bargain Booze runs, but they're expensive as fuck.

We have Just Eat, UberEats and SkipTheDishes, here in Canada.
