Do games just need to be disliked or can I list stuff that I played and that is just absolutely terrible? The OP makes it seem like it's more about "famous games you don't like" with all those big names (though I can very well understand Sonic 06). :ROFLMAO:

F 16 Fighter for the Master System comes to my mind. This game is so simple in every way even for 8-bit that I just can't get anything out of it.
I also can not avoid thinking about Turtles Quest for Win 10 now. That game is about the most broken and poorly programmed commercial game since Big Rigs, wich I haven't played.

It can really be just personal distaste or outright hatred. And no I don't just dislike them because they are popular.

Hey...I think I must be the only one that really enjoyed Sonic 06 :p I didn't mind the loading at the time...it was just awesome to get a brand new Sonic Adventure style game...I know it had bugs but I don't think it was as bad as people make it out to be!

Yeah I don't hate it either. In fact I quite enjoyed it when I first played it. And I got every medal and achievement straight away...
But I know where the flaws are and that it's easy to dislike it for various aspects.

Final Fantasy XII... it was the big disappointment for me, what I love about FF is the engaging characters and following them through their personal goals and motives on their quest as they comllaborate towards a goal. But with FFXII I found barely any of the characters engaging - Just Balthier if I am honest, he even had a great back story and conflict with one of the villians - But none of the other characters had this personal drive. The change for a character driven story to a more world based/politcal story simiply didn't work for me.

I didn't care for the MMO battle system and found myself just having Balthier running through landscape after landscape shooting at things for 90% of the game. It lacked variety in side-quests/extras too, I like FF to have mini-games that break outside the normal mechanics of the games - So X's Blitzball or IX's Chocobo Hot & Cold Minigame. But all XII had were Monster Hunts - Go to location A, beat monster B, Collect rewards, rinse and repeat.

I will say though, my favourite feature of the game is this piece of music, which is extraordinary:

Serious it is trash.

I found it to be a breath of fresh air to all the other games released around that time.
Care to elaborate on why you thought it was trash?

I think the characters are terrible people and the story is bad, let alone it not really being a game at all just a glorified movie.

The Last Of Us

Agree. Well, I don't hate it, it is a pretty good game, but it is way overrated imho. The story is just too bleak and depressing, Ellie is an annoying character and the gameplay is nothing special, just slightly modified Uncharted shooting with some added annoying stealth stuff.

My opinions pretty much, but I have major issues with the linearity and ending.

Look up the dictionary definition of a game and I think you'll find you're very wrong.

A movie you watch. A video game you interact with the footage on screen. It may not be a genre you enjoy but just because it is more like a movie then say Bioshock isn't really a valid reason to say it's bad. Is Shenmue a worse game then Fifa because it's more like a movie?

Saying it's like a movie is not a criticism.

From this generation:

Valkyria Revolution. Got it on PSN sale a couple of months back. Bad mistake. Game was obviously rushed and unfinished, combat was very bland and got stuck as an Action RPG also trying to be a Strategy RPG whilst not being good at either at all.

Star Ocean 5. I have not played a more boring Action RPG this gen, the combat was really not well designed to me and the game is just full of the usual tropes. Grew very bored of the game so just moved on.

You can interact with a movie using a DVD remote, doesn't make it a game. Shenmue actually has events, real combat and gambling + other various mini games, it is a game that has movie like story events, not just a movie that sometimes allows you to walk around.

Controversial opinions huh...? How about this hot take; I dislike almost all western AAA games. Genres I can't stand there are RTS and WRPG games. Never understood why people like Diablo, or Command and Conquer, or any of the elderscrolls games. Every now and again good western AAA games come out and I enjoy them but I'd say 85% of western developed AAA games are boring/not for me.

I prefer Japanese games/Nintendo-games and such. Love myself some JRPG's or platformers.

If something is a game or not isn’t a matter of opinion, it either is or isn’t.

I don’t like Slipknot but I can’t say it’s not music and it’s just screaming because it falls within the definition of music.
