I really hope that SEGA brings out some new Shenmue merchandise to go along with the re-releases

I'd settle for a new official shirt or two. The only Shenmue shirts I can find are on places like Redbubble. Any other places making Shenmue shirts right now?
 
The Insert Coin ones were great but sadly no longer available. Would be nice to see a new range of Shenmue stuff from them.
 
Yeah...considering just how f'ing nuts Shenmue fans are in terms of throwing money at the franchise (I'll probably end up with 3-4 copies of the HD re-release), Sega would be silly NOT to come up with some sweet merch.
 
It all really comes down to how financially successful the Shenmue I & II release is. Hopefully the game catches on with new fans.
 
Insert Coin Clothing already teased that more Shenmue stuff will be coming from them, and also on one of the Official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitch streams, they teased Shenmue merch going onto their Sega Store - a jacket was specifically mentioned!
 
I would love to get a infant Ryo jacket for my son.
 
I think it would make absolute sense to release some Merch. Maybe t-shirts to start with then go for the higher end stuff
 
The more high quality merchandise the better obviously but ideally I'd prefer it not to be clothing. I don't wear gamer apparel of any kind and it's not something I can really put on a shelf and be reminded of.

Does anyone know if First 4 Figures plan to do any more Shenmue statues?

Like I said if it's t-shirts or nothing I'll buy them, can't be too picky when it comes to Shenmue merch and who knows if the design was good enough I could always frame it or something. I bought some of those Insert Coin ones with that in mind but never got round to it.
 
If Insert Coin does jackets again, they better be higher quality. I bought the Bomber style Ryo jacket from them last year, wore it only twice and the tiger design on the back was already halfway rubbed off. I wasn't even doing anything that would put any strain on it I just went to get groceries lol.

For paying such a high price(ALMOST $90) I certainly expected much better. Just make it a real patch rather than a cheap print.

Yeah I thought the quality of that Bomber jacket was poor too, the first one i had arrived with a hole under the armpit, and loose threads all over, and the replacement they sent me had loose threads too. The original hoodie was the best piece of merch from them so far, i've had so much wear out of that over the years!

I love how both Yu Suzuki and SEGA used it when Shenmue III and the re-releases were respectively announced. It's the ultimate recognition of the fan efforts that made the projects possible.
 
I really hope so as well. We've seen some things here and there but it's very sporadic and hard to find usually. Luckily, there's always unofficial merch you can get on Redbubble on other sites like it...
