Great recap and discussion as usual guys.

One thing I picked up rewatching some of the footage was Niao-Sun first few appearances after initial tease on boat involved children. We know Lan Di was adopted as a child by the Chioyomen, they also took Ziming in as a child.

This could be completely coincidental, but I wonder if this is part of organizations recruitment? I remember in one of David’s interviews with Suzuki he asks if there’s correlation why so many characters are orphans in the story and Suzuki seems surprised or unaware of this fact. So again don’t know if it’s deliberate but just occurred to me.

Look forward to your guys content in NY.

Very interesting theory, so children snatchers essentially and then they raise them as Chi You Men? The other thing they could have been going for was simply to make Niao Sun's character at that moment, Li Feng, appear friendly, helpful and innocent, to make the shock moment more impactful and unexpected later?

Totally that’s my other thought, making Li Feng appear sympathetic before her heel turn.

I just can’t help the feeling there was a lot cut about that twist also if I recall in the original design document there was also a boss battle with her.

Could have been some great moments with a little more fleshing out, that’s super sinister children conditioning, reminds me of the foot clan from the original Turtles movie 😋
