This is truly astonishing
The materials and lighting makes this look like a current gen game, wow!

If I had to give feedback thought, it would be on things related to the atmosphere, for example You Arcade had that blue tint inside that is not present here... Hazuki Estate is a little dim inside which is more realistic but it effects the vibes of the original.

Well with atmosphere, as much as we can recreate, there's a lot we're limited on, as raytracing makes it harder to stylize things along the same lines. That being said, I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but I do feel the need to say that this is all still WIP so literally everything you see is subject to change, from lighting, to textures, to models, to layouts, even to basic gameplay mechanics. As much as we're using the original everything, we're also treating this as a ground up remake and trying to strike a healthy balance.

I understand this is early WIP, but thought of putting my two cents out there in case you were looking for feedback.

Post Processing effects can really transform the look of any scene, so even if it's uses RTGI, you can get close to the original vibe by adjusting the color values in PP

Don't get me wrong though, the remake looks stellar, these are just minor nitpicks I have in an otherwise beautiful recreation.

Oh we're always looking for opinions and nitpicks, don't take anything I say as discounting what you have to say or saying "we won't do this", I'm just saying "be prepared for things to not look super identical, there's only so much we can do"

This is mind-blowingly beautiful! Watching the video of the arcade really makes me realize how much more immersive these graphics will make Shenmue than it already is. This is such impressive work! Iā€™m looking forward to seeing more progress!

Where is that location that is shown on the 10th and 11th screenshot?. I don't remember a location like that at all in Shenmue 1 so is it part of Guilin in Shenmue 2?.
I think its an cut area from the first game but im not sure

This is looking absolutely stellar. The reflections on the posters are just incredible.
