Thanks! We'll see, but at least that's a piece of event to follow and die for at every black screen and music note! :D
Shenmue announcement style!
Thank you so much for everything you have done for Shenmue and for this community Peter.
We will miss you. Although I hope this is only goodbye, I wish you all the best in this new start.
By passing the torch to Matt and James, the Dojo is in good hands.
I wish the best to both of you too, guys.
So many certainties...
Everything is possible. We don't know what goes on behind the scenes.
And even if Shenmue III is divise amongst the fans, does it mean the series as a whole is not worth supporting Yu Suzuki to get the rest of the story anymore?
There's a big difference between saying he would have appreciated to be rewarded for the risk taken and saying there is no point to play on harder level if there are no rewards.
Isn't the whole philosophy of Shenmue to reward the player by making success more impactful through work and constant...
The Metacritics joke goes on...
The RPG Site review (the one wrote by someone who barely played the game) is still up there...
And now that PSX Extreme review published twice...
Ehm… maybe because the purpose of having harder difficulty levels is to make the game more difficult? 🙄
Nothing would make me more happy than Shenmue IV happening.
And whatever we get as a result, I hope it will be what Yu Suzuki has/had in mind.
And that said, I hope the community will be 100% behind it.
I would love to feel as confident as you about this, but I really feel there isn't any guarantee yet that Shenmue IV will happen.
In other words, I'll believe it when I read about an official confirmation.
Fantastic interview and amazing translation job Switch! Thank you!
The way I understand it, Yu's idea here is an open world with a lot of detail and density in a very confined space. Less something like Bailu rather than something like the Boat chapter. He mentioned this aspect in a previous...
The question is… was that cutscene in Niaowu best left out or is it a cool nod to Shenmue II to actually have it in Shenmue III?
As far as I'm concerned, I'm glad the cutscene is there.
When you say it has no purpose, maybe it simply shows how much Shenhua is missing home at that moment?
